At this time of year, this species is rare on site.

This species is present from early March all through July along the edges of scattered woodlands. In 1988, at least 6 birds were summer residents. Breeding has been confirmed at a number of locations throughout the lab. Breeding confirmation was made on May 8, 2015 when an adult and chick were found together in Girl Scout Woods.
