Status: Winter Resident. Last recorded on site in 2021

At this time of year, this species is expected to be present on site.

Commonly seen foraging over the larger ponds and lakes throughout the lab from March through November. It is more common in spring and fall than during the summer or winter. It is seen quite regularly in the winter but much less so in the summer.
