The Patuxent web-site provides more general information about this species.
At this time of year, this species is expected to be present on site.

Occurs on site year round. Large flocks can be often seen on bare fields and along gravel roads during the winter months and especially around the buffalo feeders. Breeding has been confirmed in the short grassy verges of Powerline Road. Breeding again confirmed on the 2014 SBC when a pair of birds were seen carring food to a nest in the experimental grass plots east of the Dog Fields.
